How to Decide What Operation is Best for You
Choosing a weight loss surgery is a very personal decision. Drs. Seger and Duperier are very experienced with all of the operations. We perform them all because they all work! One operation may be better for one person than another; however the most important thing that determines long term success is YOU! These are extremely powerful tools that will lead to massive weight loss if used correctly.
There are many different things that factor into a decision about which surgery to have. You should choose the operation that best fits your personality. Some patients choose based on surgical risk or reversibility. Others choose based on the amount of expected weight loss or the chances that a particular operation will cure diabetes or reflux/heartburn.
We want the decision to be made by you after hearing all the information given to you in a non-biased fashion. We encourage patients to attend a free seminar, and perhaps go to a support group as well before making a decision.
We perform all of the operations because we know that they all work. The tool you need for success may be different from that needed by someone else. Indeed, everyone is different and the right choice is the one that best suits YOUR needs and YOUR comfort level. The decision is one that should be made after you have heard and processed all the options available.
