
I am due to start my pre-op diet this week and I have several questions.
1. Is there a caloric intake I should be shooting for or staying under? I
understand that 2 meals are to be replaced with protein shakes and very limited
snacking is allowed. I want to make sure I do not take in too many or too few
calories.
2. Will the protein received from the 2 meal replacement shakes and my 1 meal be
enough to sustain me in exercising? Are any additional protein shakes allowed at
all?
3. The instructions say to take 1 multi-vitamin per day. I am currently taking 2
per day as well as 3 calcium, B-12 and Omega 3. Do I discontinue the additional
supplements or cut back on them until after surgery?
